What is the best fast growing evergreen? I’m an real novice and looking for a fast growing tree/bush?
any suggestions, tips…..
Depends what you want it for,
Just remember that trees and bushes that grow fast also grow big so require a load of cutting back unless you want them 100 foot high. I put in a Russian Vine and it strangled everything in its path. I’ve dosed it at least three times with Roundup and it’s still living …………………….. If it’s just a hedge you want then best be patient and plant something a bit slower and easier to manage in the long term. Another thing is with Leylandii, they grow quick but tend to become ‘thin’ at the bottom and are prone to getting a bug that causes them to die back. There are quite a lot of hedges near me with dead bits in them
