What should I major in Russian studies or Middle Eastern/African studies?
Okay, so I am a sophomore in college and I am and International Studies/Anthropology double major. In my International Studies major we have to declare a theme and a concentration. My theme is Human Rights and Social Movements but I cannot decide what my concentration should be (this is a geographic location i.e. Europe or Latin America). I do not want to choose Europe, Asia or Latin America because the class/course options are limited for my interests (human rights), so I have narrowed it down to the Middle East/Africa or Russia. I am honestly more interested in Russia, but I know the Middle East pertains to current topics (as does Russia). Which would you suggest I choose, and why? Which do you think will benefit me in the long run? I know this decision might not make a difference after I go to graduate school, but right now it is important. Any ideas would be helpful, even just one….

* I guess the question should be “concentrate in” (lol) not “major in.”
Middle East/Africa would be great, considering a lot of the world deals with the Middle East.
Russia is boring. It’s a barren wasteland. I took Russian history. Worst class ever.
